I am Shilphy Francis, a skilled counselor with an MA in Clinical Psychology and a background in Clinical Social Work. I have
significant experience in both national and international settings. My work with Ramakrishna Mission in Malaysia has been particularly impactful, where I
successfully participated in workshops covering ADHTP art drawing (house, tree, person), soft love mindfulness, the Baum test, and an introduction to EFT. I also delivered lectures on basic counseling skills, the role of social workers, and journaling TEA (thoughts, emotions, actions). Additionally, I visited the
Women's Centre for Change (WCC).
National Experience
Swanthana Counseling Centre, Ernakulam:
Gained extensive experience in counselling by collecting
client details, presenting problems, background information, and mental status.
This role exposed me to dealing with marital problems, teenage issues, family
conflicts, and learning disabilities.
SkyChild (Organization for Thriving Children), Angamaly:
Conducted various training sessions in life skill education
and counselled children in orphanages and schools.
Rajagiri Outreach, Kalamassery:
Participated in several programs, including the Suraksha
Migrant Project, the Outreach Drop-In Centre (ODIC) Project, training programs
for women's entrepreneurship, and the Elderly Day Care Center at Binanipuram.
Background
A native of Kerala, I am an alumna of Rajagiri College of Social Sciences. My diverse experiences have equipped me with a holistic and
culturally sensitive approach to counselling, aimed at supporting individuals in their journey toward mental well-being.
